I think main arms like fighters ore tanks for Yugoslavia had to bee from some of the main powers (US, USSR, UK, France) due the political games.

There was intense cooperation of Yugoslavia and France, the Gazelle helicopters were build under license in SOKO factory in Yugoslavia, and Novi Avion (New aircraft) project of Yugoslav combat aircraft was inspired by Rafale, similar as Orao was inspired by Jaguar.

In fact, there was strong idea in Yugoslavia to buy Mirages instead MiG-29s, but the Fulcrums were offered as clearing dept of USSR to Yugoslavia together with purchase of trains, trolleybuses etc. Nice drawing :D

I will, but it will take a time :D I had an idea about other Soviet helicopters too, like Hip, Hoplite, Helix and others.

Thanks :) Well curent four Serbian Mi-35M are new made helicopters, and ex-Cypriot ones have not been transfered. Also Cypriot Hinds are Mi-35P version, with twin barel GSh-30-2 fixed 30mm side gun, older three-blades type of tale rotor unlike Mi-35M with 'X' tale rotor from Mi-28, and some diferenc...
