I'll scrap the antenna then. I still have no clue as of how to implement an open bridge. I saw an example in a few replies above, but that one was a modern variant. Not sure how it applies Pre-WW1.

Alright, here is the updated ship.
I edited the propeller a little, and redid the rudder.
I also removed the 2nd deck, and made the 1st deck now the bridge.
That's it I think.

Okay thank you for the feedback, I will try to improve it. I might need a better propeller though. Does anyone have a small one for me?

I placed the ship exactly on the waterline, with my ships waterline of course.
So, what exactly is an open bridge? And I do have only 1 level of superstructure right?

Redid the ship on points specified by people.
- Propeller no longer ill, functional
- Better anchor, placed more to the front
- Portholes lowered at front, extended in the middle

The portholes are only at the front because that is the only place the crew frequents. Machine room and storage room does not need portholes - Huangsheng philosophy. I agree on the anchor, will bring that forward. As for the railing, it indeed comes to the knees and thought that was more aesthetical...

Thank you guys.
No it's a fictional ship for a fictional nation, there's no reference other than my mind.
And how much shading is too much actually? Don't think I went overboard with it.

Hi there. Been a long-time lurker and after this while, decided to register and just show you my latest work.
It is the Yi Class Gunboat. I'm trying to achieve a Pre-WW1/WW1 look.
Am interested in hearing from you guys.
