I'm thinking the next version will be a battle barge, where the armaments are all mounted on an armored barge, and it is pushed along by a large tug. Maybe even slip the tonnage up because its two boats XD

A disaster! Launched trying to offset costs, attempting to use two old freighter hulls, and combine 6 non turret mounted 15 inch guns. The design would have attempted to sail close to the shore and keep the 6 guns pointed seaward the ammunition barge - conning tower ship moored shore side, protected...

Also im confused by the boat like lines in the schematic for the Biber, does that mean when it sinks those are all lifeboats that float out? XD

I have but the only plan I've seen of the Biber have german modifications to the Faà di Bruno http://www.navypedia.org/ships/germany/ger_bb17.gif In the design it looks like the gun is given a longer barrel?
