For fighters, I'd suggest the Douglas F4D Skyray, primarily because the F7U was utter crap.
For a sixties air wing, I'd suggest F-4 Phantoms and A-5 Vigilantes.

Why is an Il-86 in the AU section? If it is "painted" in generic colours, or the colours of an actual user, then it should be in the "FD scale vehicles 4" thread.
