thank you all for the comments. I really appreciate it, and I'm sorry I took so long replying. I use pretty much MSpaint for all of it except if I need to rotate something, and I will use paint.net for that. It would be really hard for me to explain in writing how I do this, but its not really hard....

ok, so after listening to you all and doing a lot of research I've come up with what I think would have been a good replacement for the OHP for the time frame. The layout will still be the same, very "Burke-esk". the sensor suite is what I've been having a hard time with. There really wasn't a good ...

I donn't know if I like the primary sensor placement. It has a massive cutout forward which would put it at a serious disadvantage if it is a screen oriented towards a threat axis. Thank you Shipright. I really appreciate your comment, so don't let what I'm about to say lead you to believe otherwis...

I agree with CM that the USN has definetly failed in the procurement of small less capable vessels for low impact missions to capitalize on the peace dividend AT PRESENT. In 1991 we were coming out of the largest arms race in history overshadowed by the threat of super power conflict with nukes. Th...

A coast guard admiral presented our crew with a photo doctored to make the Virginia look like it was painted in coast guard colors. It was pretty awesome. Here's a news story the local Norfolk station did about Virginia doing CONOPS.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GoUa5Msvxbo&feature=youtube_gda...

They already spend billions of our tax dollars in the worthless "War on Drugs"... I think if you pitched the idea of using frigates and destroyers for enforcement their mouths would water at the idea! I was going to say....scheesch...that's all the USS Virginia did for it's last three years of life...

I've changed the forward mount to phalanx....I've also shorted the "snout" because it was just to long. I've removed the proposed 49 and replaced it with the real one, and also eliminated the visible exhaust stacks. Is this now more in line with reality?? http://i996.photobucket.com/albums/af89/sabo...
