Great renditions of these transitional ships ! Super detail. Overall conveys their aggressive style. These ships are a tough subject as there few high detail drawings available. There are some photos that have recently been cleaned up but the ships went through so many modifications it is a task to ...

This is a bit more like it, especially taking into account the Rurik. However, there was a same generation 12" gun - the Armstrong-Vickers MarkXI with a range of 27,600 yds at 33'. Range is more dependent on the gunners eyesight and optics (not to mention weather) than the test-firing range of a gun...

Basically an interesting idea but not feasible due to the leap to Inflexible and Invincible. As Krakatoa states you have to go to a bigger gun since the Italian, Russians and US have ACRs with 10' main guns. Then there are four IJN ACRs with 12" main guns ! There was a plan for a BC with 12" main ba...

"It's room for growth. Weight will be added throughout the war with additional weapon fits." I agree that some margin maybe useful and in fact authentic. 1.00 means you can't put on a second coat of paint, but 1.30 means you can support an additional 4,000 tons! That is too much, trim down the hull ...

Thanks for the comments. I like the old Armoured Cruisers (my Grandfather served on the USS Pueblo(Colorado) in WW1 and I have a few old photos I've carefully saved. Unfortunately there isn't much info on them, even the books by Freidman & Alden have only a few drawings of the US ships. I've only se...

Interesting Alternate History. Not meaning to be critical but having lived through the whole period of the Vietnam War I can tell you it was a far more complex matter than a simple military confrontation. Tactical nukes in Nam is just non-sence however. Most of the time there were no BIG targets and...

Super "BUFF"s. As as kid I lived near a SAC base and when they had an alert it had the force of nature. How about one with the day-glow orange SAC paint scheme from the halcyon days of Curtis LeMay.

Monty- The light BC was alwys one of my favorite subjects, and this is a very interesting one - and of course very well done. If this a French design built in a Brit yard?

Monty-

Really great ! The subject is also very very reasonable considering all the variations the RH subjected their cruisers to.
