HMS Tre Kronor , as proposed in 1952 for planned recommissioning 1955 https://i.imgur.com/THbHUVc.png By the end of world war 2 the Swedish navy saw most of its big gun vessels decommissioned. The relatively modern Tre Kronor-class, built in the second half of the 1930’s remained in service, but ev...

I'm not at all offended, and do not feel as if I'm being picked upon, I've just got a self-depricating sense of humour. :) I've been gone for a fair while - at least in terms of drawing and posting - and it's inevitable that I've become somewhat rusty, or even fallen behind in regards to artistic co...

Thanks all for your suggestions. Back to school I suppose. I've done a quick rework of the shading, using stronger shades of the main gray for directional shading(I think I've used this palette since 2014, about time someone said something about it ;) ), and added some shading to the life rafts in p...

Drawing as much as possible yourself is, if anything, commendable. That's how you'll get good at the style. And this looks pretty solid. "Keep at it" is really the only advice I can give. The ship itself looks pretty reasonable. I'm curious about the different secondaries... The turreted ones look l...

You're welcome. Something funky seems to have happened with the X turret in the November 1944 top view though.

Looking good. Pretty sure the pom-poms and 4" Mk.V have more updated versions in the forum parts sheets.

Maybe a single line of shading/brightening under and on top of the bottom and top of the belt respectively? I'm thinking that might helt simulate the visual effect of the steps. Upon copying the image into paint and zooming, I saw that you'd done a single line of shading on the bottom, but I think i...

Agreeing with the above. On a second look, I can't help feel like there's something jarring about the contrast of the top and bottom of the armour belt vis a vis the shading only transitions at the ends, but I suppose it's hard to illustrate accurately in another fashion. I have wondered though: why...
