On the flight deck you can see four bomb elevators on the deck edge either side of the island. The shafts have quite thick girders externally. It's difficult to get good photos of these areas. Here's a good one from Aug 08, 1955 at Puget Sound. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/jwp5ad734s2yiq5pcyp7e/mi...

Looking good! I have to say, I prefer the MS 21 Navy Blue! 1. In the plans, the elevator line color is actually labeled as blue (I missed that one). Also, the deck-edge elevator should have a cross marking. 2. For the yellow arrestor wire markings, it would be better to change the wire color from da...

Nice job with the tie-downs. However, the deck-edge elevator and the surrounding deck extensions do not have that arrangement. The tie downs are on the strips going athwartships and the planking is also athwartships for the elevator itself. Great picture you posted, I haven't seen that one. Note the...

Great work. I was hoping this would arrive. After looking briefly over the drawing here are my initial thoughts... 1. Automatic stanchions on deck-edge elevator are missing. 2. Arrestor wires and barriers would look better darker than the deck. 3. Some Arrestor wires are missing. 4. In my experience...

Thanks for the feedback. - Generally speaking, the drawing has some mismatches in detailing. If the deck is hyperdetailed in the top view, some areas in the sideview look bland by comparision. I'd rather not see the connection points on the deck and the deck plating and have the sideview and superst...

Here's an update of Darth Panda's Iwo Jima class. The Iwo Jima class were the first helicopter carriers built from the keel up and saw service in Vietnam and the first Gulf War (Desert Storm). Originally designed to carry helicopters, The Iwo Jima class began operating the AV-8A Harrier in the early...

Always good to see more US carriers but I'm sorry to say that this is a poorly researched drawing. There are many errors in dimensions, paint and overall representation. Main deck above the keel should be 51 feet, not 54. Designer's Draft is 20 feet and the bottom for your boot topping is 24ft. The ...

Great to see this here. I'm not so familiar with these ships but did they really have railings around the flight deck? There's no LSO platform on the port side aft. The top down view of the bridge hasn't been finished.

Thanks, Ian. I've updated the drawing with a few alterations.

I'm planning on updating the Langley drawing which has many many inaccuracies. I thought I'd start with the Jupiter.
